He's obviously a good player, but I doubt I'm the only one sick of hearing guys jamming this song out for 4-5 minutes with a ton of shred runs.
It's cool he can play well, but after a certain point it seems more like a show off session really.
I have nothing against shredding at all, but I tend to think a solo based more on the original length of the solo with some shred licks in there, rather than jamming it out for a needlessly long period of time would have been much more tasteful

Yeah, it did go a bit long... this looks like it was shot at a high school talent show or something though. I enjoyed it, and he can out-play me at half my age, so i sit, humbled.

The only person I've seen use Wah without mimicking it with their mouth as they do it

The kid is quite good. It did go longer than necessary.

I think I've seen Gilmore extend that solo out. It could have been a different song though and obviously not as shreddy. But hey, Gilmore is one of those with the magic fingers and just makes his fiddle sing.

I think it's cool that teenagers are playing guitar again instead of that crap from the late 90s and early aughts.

"Hey! Checkout this kid on youtube" videos are always really popular on forums. /sarcasm
