I will say that DPP has some truly great stuff on it along with the cheez, though, and the orchestrations are the best I've ever heard on any rock album. It's almost overwhelming on a really good sound system. I admit to also preferring Tarja's vocals over Anette's. Tarja made the band one of a kind, whereas Anette sounds like someone from ABBA who wandered into the wrong rehearsal room.
As for Sonata Arctica, they were always a little Malmsteenish for my tastes. I loved the neoclassical thing years ago, but I can't listen to that stuff anymore.
