Default Limp Bizkit... seriously?

listen to a few clips of the new CD on youtube and I was like

Maybe its because i'm older now but when I was younger I liked them but at 30 not so much. I'm really surprised to see them stick to the nu-metal sound because this would have been the best chance for them to re-invent themselves.

I'm actually really, really excited for Gold Cobra

It's like Wes' playing has gone back to the weird and interesting style on Three Dollar Bill Y'all, but with the mixing and groove of Chocolate Starfish which is absolutely fine by me

"I just kind of go with that and go like, 'That was
cool. You know what it needs? More!', and then when
I'm done with putting more on I go, 'Yeah, that
sounds great. But you know what would be even
better? That's if I put more in there.'"

Chocolate Starfish is an absolutely amazing album, and they have some absolute corkers in their back catalogue, but Gold Cobra? I'm not feeling it. Something is a miss, and Fred Durst still sounds like a cunt. His lyrics for example, "Douchebag, I'll fuck you up." ? Really now Fred? He's 40, not 14.

Fred's lyrics have always been complete trash, it's what LB are all about Admittedly it was more (less?) funny and ridiculous 12 years back, but hey.

Wes left for an album, then they kind of broke up, then they came back for an EP with Wes, then took a long time off, now this
