I first heard these guys about 5 years ago, but never went looking for any of their albums (had a feeling that it would be very difficult to find in Japan), but about three weeks ago, I found their album "Fragmentary Evidence" in a used CD store in Shinjuku. And I remembered liking what I had heard from them, so I bought it.

I've listened to the album several times since I bought it and I gotta say that they totally rule. I remember there was someone on (and on here I think) who used Augury as their avatar all the time (but I can't remember who it was ).

    Anyone else like them?

If you want to know before you listen, they are basically progressive death metal:

I've got both albums...good stuff. Some of the songs seem to run together,, you can't tell where one ends and the next one starts.

Also, is anyone else reminded of a cross between Jari Mäenpää and Devin Townsend's voices?

He mostly reminds me of Ihsahn from Emperor, but not as awesome They aren't too bad. I was really psyched when Fragmentary Evidence came out. The first album just got reissued within the last 4 months I believe.

Yeah, Augury's cool. I do have the same problem about their songs sort of "running together," though.
