HUGE blast from the past was had last night when I was going through my CD collection, looking for what I could sell off, cringing at some of the truly turgid (sub-Cradle of Filth) Italian black metal bands and cheesy gothic metal and Darkthrone. God, I fucking hated Darkthrone, I've no idea why I bought their albums, but I guess I was into my black metal and they were one of the bands you were "supposed" to like.
Anyway, while I didn't have their album, the nostalgia buzz I was on fired up some old memories, and I finally remembered the name of a band I used to love when I was 17 and read Kerrang! and made a few other blunders along the way... Rachel Stamp!

You guys will probably hate them, but fuck me if they don't bring me right back, I used to love 'em because something about them reminded me of the Smashing Pumpkins. I even tried to dye my hair like the singer at the time, but it ended up more blue, and I just wished I looked that good Those were the days of stealing my sister's makeup, of spiked collars, of dancing about in the niteclubs wearing skirts, of torn fishnets that I'd wear on my legs and my arms... but I can't believe I'd forgotten this band!
But wow, what a nostalgia buzz!
Some asshole stole my collar though and I never got a replacement
