Last night I met C.C. DeVille.

I'm not usually one for name dropping but this was actually pretty damn cool.
Yesterday I worked a New York Dolls, Poison and Motley Crue show in Tacoma. Fun ass show but the high light was definitely chatting with CC. With my job I've met tons of rock stars but out of all of them, CC was one of the coolest. And the dude is funny as fuck! And of course... what would 2 guitarists talk about? Gear.
Sure, he's not the best guitarist in the world but I think his attitude towards his fans and especially the people like me that set up and make their shows possible is extremely commendable.
Also, one of the Tacoma Dome employees got injured during the show(not seriously and I don't think it was show related) but CC came out personally and gave the dude a friggin' box load of merch goodies. Pretty damn cool.

I really wanted to get a picture with him but I was on the clock and that's a HUGE no-no in our business. Oh well, maybe next time.

Oh, and Tommy Lee gave me a "what's up" as he walked past me in the parking lot while he was playing with his loud as fuck, gas powered rc car.

No picture definitely sucks, but I can understand that logic.

That's awesome man! I'm not the biggest Crue or Poison fan but I was actually happy to see that they were doing so well. Something about seeing a band weather a storm like those 2 did makes me happy for them. Both of them got a lot of shit during the grunge era and they really didn't deserve it. Seeing them still packing arenas brings a smile to my face.

Very cool, there's a video of CC being interviewed and talking about how used to treat his fans and now he treats them nice and listens to them.

He seems like a really awesome guy.

    EDIT: Actually here it is.
