Just when you think he cannot get any more ridiculous, he does.

This guy continues to impress me the more I watch him.

    GREAT player!

Incredible technique, and I'd love to play even 25% as cleanly as him, but my God what a boring song!

Not digging his rhythm tone at all, sound kind of ...fizzy I guess for lack of better word, but the rest is solid

the guy is obviously pretty badass. but that song was boring, and did nothing for me musically. I'm pretty much over most shredders. Wanking over boring stuff just doesnt attract me. Writing great compositions is much more important to me than just playing the most notes in the allotted time.

As far as the guitar tone goes, I don't think it was a top priority for the Lick Library thing for them to go out and hire the best audio engineers possible
Maybe if an album sounded like that, sure that would suck, but this is just meant to be an instructional thing.

He definitely has some of the most impressive lead chops I've seen. It's not just fast, but it's actually clean (which can't be said for many guys playing just as fast).
I'm not a huge fan of the song either since I'm just not really into instrumental guitar stuff like this so much anymore, but surely the thread is more about praising the man's chops and not critiquing his song writing?
