    My tech suggested I check this guy out, since I'm into shred but have a lot of bluesy influences. I gotta say, this is pretty cool - the guy has a bit of a sense of humor about his playing, and there's certainly no shortage of technique on display here (though, honestly, some of the clean stuff impressed me the most, it's very fluid).

    Really digging this.

    Especially the volume swell interlude before the clean section.

    That guy's from my town, and it's always cool and encouraging to see someone local get this kind of attention. I can't listen at work, but from what I remember listening to, he's a very songful player (as opposed to the in-your-face-chops kind of guys), and uses dynamics in an interesting way.
