Ayreon rocks for a Progressive Metal band! Better than Dream Theater could ever be I think.

And then there is a side project of theirs with a hot female singer with an amazing voice. The singer is the sexy Astrid van der Veen.

Astrid was 14 when she did Ambeon... It is hard to believe she was only 14 and singing like this. Her voice has this breathtaking quality to it. She could teach a lot of female vocalists out there a thing or two.

And one last video with Astrid singing a song for Ayreon. I really wish she would start singing again...

Ambeon's "Fate of a Dreamer" was done when she was 14?!?!

Holy shit. Very cool, distinctive voice on that girl.

Ayreon is awesome too, very different 'sound' from a lot of prog bands out there.
Too much focus leads to tunnel vision
Too much faith leads to religion
Too much knowledge leads to confusion
Too many guitar lessons lead to jazz-fusion

    Arjen Anthony Lucassen (music, arrangements),
    Astrid van der Veen (vocals)

Edit: I didn't even notice Ayreon in the thread title. Arjen is the friggin' man.

I think I might just stick the Ambeon album on for to help me drift off tonight!

Ayreon is awesome, especially The Human Equation. I remember when I first got that album, I listened to the whole 2-hour thing every night for two weeks straight.
