JoStLe @ the Warwick booth during Musikmesse 2012 Part 2/2 - YouTube

funny shit right here. Jonas's acoustic bass is sick, notice those silly true intonation frets or what the fuck ever they call them.

Lee Sklar is fucking awesome

Too much focus leads to tunnel vision
Too much faith leads to religion
Too much knowledge leads to confusion
Too many guitar lessons lead to jazz-fusion

Love this. Love Lee's groove. I find myself locking in on the bass when I listen to songs more and more, just for that "groove" - gets your head bobbing and your feet tapping. I should try to play my bass more.

The song Red Baron is on the amazing Spectrum album from Billy Cobham.

Awesome.

Bassists being better musicians than most guitarists, in an inversion of normality.

Jonas is a bit quiet though

I don't know too much about Lee Sklar, but Steve Bailey and Jonas Hellborg are stupid good. Some of Jonas' stuff with Mahavishnu is amazing.

A video of Jonas Hellborg being fucking awesome:

A video of Steve Bailey being pretty fucking awesome too:

He was promoting the RH450 with TC so he spends a bit of time talking about that, but the little intro of Eleanor Rigby he does at the beginning is amazing.

yeah those 3 guys + TM Stevens, Victor Wooten, and Billy Sheehan are like, the top bassists for technique / badassness.

But yeah man, they are just goofing around with each other the whole video and still playing really technical stuff. I like the 'middle finger' at the beginning.
