I find his straight blues playing a tad boring, so I kinda feel ya, tho his Mayall stuff is pretty on fire, and a love Cream, and I actually really like "From The Cradle". I find I like him most as a songwriter, where I feel like he's underrated, but when he plays stuff that isn't blues, his lines are just beautiful elegant simplicity.

He stretches out here pretty slinkily.
I'm not saying the "God" tag is appropriate, mind you, but the dude has earned his place in history. His set with Steve Winwood is also worth a viewing.
