No, they will never be the Queensryche I loved nor will they ever have that same chemistry without DeGarmo in the fold, but I still think this has some potential to be cool if they have plans on doing an album together in the future. Tate has been a cancer in the song writing department for so long, so I'm holding on to what little hope I have left that Wilton can deliver something worthy of what he and the rest of them used to be. I only wish they had embarked on something like this about 15 years ago and saved the legacy of the band a bit.
The sound quality sucks but you get the idea. It's not perfect but it has something that's been lacking for a long time with Tate.

Now THAT'S the QR I want to see.
They did an interview on a Seattle radio show and apparently gave strong hints that they want to use the QR name for this lineup. I'm sure the lawyers will get a lot of billable hours over that.
Geoff Tate is playing an opening slot tonight for the Scorpions in Salt Lake City that was originally billed as QR being there. It will be interesting to see whether he just has his solo band come out as "QR" or whether he switches it to a solo show.
