Default The Contortionist - Holomovement

EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE: THE CONTORTIONIST’S “HOLOMOVEMENT” SONG + LYRIC VIDEO! | MetalSucks

I've never heard of this band before. Not a fan of the harsh vocals, but it sounds like they've been listening to a whole lot of modern-era Cynic. What do you guys think?

"Sometimes you have to confront your own patterns and expectations of yourself and do away with things that you enjoy doing in order to move forward and keep evolving as a musician. That's exactly the definition of the word progressive of course." —Steven Wilson

They went towards a post-rock/metal vibe with this track.

This song was pretty good but from what I saw in the studio videos, there's a lot more on the album.

I like this a lot more than anything else they've done. Their fans are probably somewhat alienated.

One thing, and the only thing about it is that the lyrics are pretty wonky in a couple of spots.
