Holy shit, can the Mnemic vocalist sing!

Bought their new album a couple of days ago. I've been hammering it. If you've heard these guys before and written them off as Meshuggah-lite, or just another band with someone doing bad screaming vocals over one/two note riffs, you may want to check out their new album, Mnemesis.

There's still about 40% screaming vocals and Meshuggah wannabe-ness, but there's also some actual riffing on the album. But it's the singer that makes this for me. Can't get enough of his singing. Why hasn't he been doing this forever?!

Clips of the new album are thin on the ground on YouTube, and the ones they've put online are all in the older style. But check this clip out at the 1:15 mark. He's got such a great voice.

Ah good call man I haven't listened to this yet, and I'm apparently a 'huge fan' . It just kinda... slipped my mind. I think I heard a track and was a bit 'meh' about it, as I know one or two of the original line up have fucked off and it didn't really sound the same to me. But I'll give it a bash

Sounds cool! Ive never heard this dude sing before, never knew he had it in him. Still sounds a bit like he's finding his comfort zone, not digging how he ends each phrase.

Not bad. I remember hearing something by them a few years ago that I absolute despised. This is much much better.

His clean vocals remind me of Devin Townsend.

I've always thought the dude had some awesome clean vocals (starting at Passenger). Definitely digging the song structure on this though, definitely a nice dynamics changeup.
