New Lineup | Queensryche

I'm sure the last few months have been very frustrating for you.
I know they have been for me.
There are so many questions and so few answers.

It is said that adversity makes one stronger. Well, I'm definitely in a better place now than I've ever been before. I feel very positive and excited.

The challenge, when you're in a creative environment, is keeping things fresh and invigorating, and after working with the same people for thirty years, it gets very difficult-You walk into the room, and everybody knows what everyone is going to do. There's no spark, the chemistry is very tried and true and you just keep coming up with the same ways of expressing yourself.

Today is a new day and I am thrilled to announce the new Queensrÿche.

Joining me are: Rudy Sarzo, Bobby Blotzer, Glen Drover, Kelly Gray and Randy Gane.

Together we shall embark on a new musical journey that will be a greater extension of where Queensrÿche has ever been.

With this new project, with these new people, it's a whole new scene. There are new ideas, different musical backgrounds and a whole new set of parameters. Everyone has ideas you haven't heard before, and everyone is throwing them against the wall and suddenly … the music has a whole new life.

I look forward to this new life and I hope to see you on tour as all of us come together and begin this new era.
Oh this is will end well. :twitch:

As always though, no Chris DeGarmo no care.

Hires a lot of the standard metal hired guns. What a surprise.:roll2:

Good lineup by anyone's standards, but it'll just end up being a monument to Geoff Tate's ego.

Wait… weren't the other guys using the QR name?
IIRC, this is going to be 'Queensryche featuring Geoff Tate'.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

"...wait...watch this. Hehe, I love that."

You fucking jumped 1.5 feet backwards. Are you fucking serious? David Lee Roth does fucking splits 6 feet in the fucking air, Phil Anselmo jumped 10 fucking feet in the air off drum risers.....then probably another 15 feet into the audience head on....even more so, Bruce Dickinson and Rob Halford are both older than you and can still sing their songs the way they're supposed to be sung.....and never dragged their bands down the hole for years....

Fucking ass hat motherfucker.

I think all the frustration over that band is finally coming out. I literally have grown up, from birth, with that band. Geoff was a HUGE vocal inspiration on me when I was 13-17, when I couldn't sing a fuckin' note.

I just can't believe the motherfucker who was in the mindframe to come up with shit like "Roads To Madness" even right up to "Right Side Of My Mind" is the same dude I just saw in that video.

Proud of the dudes in QUEENSRYCHE for kicking his ass out. I agree, the DeGarmo shit is hands down the best and Todd isn't Geoff in his prime. I don't care, because that shithead Tate isn't in Queensryche anymore and I can still hear the songs played live like they haven't in a very long time.

I'm not one much for name-calling and talking shit, but that video just blew something in my head. Fuck that fucking dude. I'm fucking glad he had to cancel the Hampton Beach Casino show last year. I at least got to hang with some family and not witness him butcher one of my favorite band's songs that day. Fuck that fucking dude.

Good thing I'm not drinking tonight.

Yeah, the court date is November 2013.

Ticketmaster is showing 'Geoff Tate of Queensryche Electric', but the venues themselves have been showing 'Geoff Tate: The Voice Of Queensryche'.

I'm sure he's going to keep his name in the title of whatever he books, just to make sure it's not confused with the actual band, Queensryche.

Hope Blozter's been practicing. Really though....Kelly Gray and Drover? Shit, I hope Kelly's been practicing too. My guess is Drover will be the first to quit, then Sarzo.

Drover because he doesn't want to deal with another dickhead frontman and Sarzo because, well, he can do whatever he wants and can most definitely score a better paying gig.

Regardless, the actual Queensryche is under Live Nation management, Geoff's version doesn't stand a chance at hitting the same venues as Real-Ryche.

Ya know, with the real Ryche coming out with this new album being produced by Jim Barton, which I'm guessing will be coming out right around the time Tate is supposed to embark on that Operation: Mindcrime Anniversary tour, I wouldn't be surprised if he finds an excuse to cancel the tour.

There's going to be way too much hype around that new Ryche record, especially if they land a good single before it drops. They've already been playing much larger, festival shows as where Tate's been doing clubs and bars, he's going to have a bitch of a time booking that tour, doesn't matter who is playing with him.

Holy fucking awkward.

They REALLY couldn't have made another video without Drover in it (who is OBVIOUSLY not enthused about the situation he's in)? Rudy does some serious ass-kissing...

Man, this is going to be one hell of a train-wreck. I'm not even upset over Geoff using the Queensryche name, I LOVE self-parody!
