So, the CFO of my company (in his 40's) comes in, and says "hey, you play guitar, right? We're getting a group together to play a few songs."
The "group", consisting of him on guitar as well, the purchasing guy (in his early 50's) on bass, and then a VP (in his mid-50s) on drums.
They want to do some cover tunes, but seriously, I can't imagine we're on the same wavelength in terms of taste. However, me being an openminded fellow, I was thinking there's gotta be a ton of cool music from their generations that would be fun to play. Journey? Kansas? Boston? Or perhaps older, like Cream or Hendrix?
I dunno. It sounds like something fun to do after work, and would likely get me playing more than I do now anyway. And honestly, these guys are all pretty cool. Despite two of them being WAY higher in the company, they're pretty down to earth folks.
So let's hear it: suggestions?
Uhhhhh, I think you're generalizing.
I'm 44, and still love the heavy stuff.
