I finally got around to listening to this and its a heck of a lot better than I thought it would be

I'll definitely be buying the EP next month. I love how Chuck Billy the vocals sound!

the drums are a bummer. the riff had all kinds of promise but instead of it being fast and groovy it's slow sounding and kinda boring.

Holy buss compression, Batman! But as far as Motorhead ripoffs go, it doesn't make me wanna kill myself. Yet.

Looking good, IMO. I've always thought Jason was great. He made the right choice to ditch Metallica when he did (though I think Death Magnetic was pretty good).

^ Death Magnetic wouldn't be bad if the production wasn't an unlistenable mess.

^Yup. Also if some of the songs were edited down a little. Still, All Nightmare Long is the best thing they've done in ages. That song kills.

I love Jason and I want to like this, but I dunno. It just doesn't grab me.

Do you mean St. Anger? Production-wise, Death Magnetic was significantly better than that p.o.s.
