Lajon from Sevendust just made my day...

I'm a huge Sevendust fan and haven't been able to catch a show for about 10 years. Something always comes up and I'm always missing them.

Well they're playing here tonight in Ft. Lauderdale and again, I couldn't make it (dog's vet bill was insane this weekend), but I decided to go hang for a bit and see if I could get Clint to sign my JEM at least.

After being here 30 seconds, Clint came over, shot the shit and signed my guitar. Several minutes later, Lajon walked over and asked about the shirt/hat I was wearing, (my band's shirt/hat, Edge of Anger), asked why we weren't playing tonight and then asked if I were going at least.

I told him no due to financial issues, before I even finished, he headed towards the bus and said, "You hang on right here brother, I'm getting you on the list tonight."

Sure enough, he came out with his monitor guy (who is a big Vai fan and played my JEM for a minute) then made sure myself + 1 was added to tonights show.

I can't express my gratitude right now.....these are the days that karma pays itself back. And the thing was, when Lajon was asking me questions, he wasn't just making small talk, he was genuinely interested in what I had to say.

It was a really touching moment for me. I've met pretty much every idol/rockstar I've ever wanted to, but this was an entirely different situation.
This man truly cares about his fans in a way that goes far beyond ticket/album sales.

    Wirelessly posted

I'm not a fan at all, but they did an in store signing at the record store where I work and they were all really nice dudes.

nice to hear. Nowadays if they're not killing their wives they're ranting about how pointless marriage is.

Sweet! My buddy went to that show tonight. Sevendut is easily one of the tightest bands I've seen live.
