    The Year of Les Paul

2013 - The Year of Les Paul | Gibson« Guitar

This is really nice tribute site Gibson set up this year in his memory. It presents a thorough overview of his career and life and I enjoyed peeling through it.

Making metal every night and day.

    So live for today,
    Tomorrow never comes.
    Die young, die young,
Can't you see the writing in the air?
    Die young, gonna die young,
    Someone stopped the fair.

Mary Ford doesn't get enough credit for keeping up with that guy.

Completely OT but thanks for this. There's a girl at work that looks just like Mary Ford and it's been bugging me for years as I couldn't work out who she reminded me of!

Growing annoyed, Les finally said to him, "Do you know how to play anything, or are you just going to pretend while we all watch?" The crowd all laughed, and then they played "Hey Joe." Zack sang and played, and he sucked real bad, real bad, and everyone knew it. The song lasted forever. Finally, when he cleared the stage, Les turned to the crowd and said, "Alright, who wants to hear some music?" Everyone cheered. Then he turned to his good-looking female bassist (Nicki Parrott), and said, "Isn't she beautiful? Sitting next to her all night makes me feel like an old condemned building...with a new flagpole."
