Bullshit. They're trying to kill live music.

That blows. The crowds and shows in Canada were signifanctly more awesome than a lot of the crowds we had played for in the states. Canadian kids generally bought a lot more merch from us as well. This is shit news for touring bands.

On behalf of Canadians who actually like having bands here and aren't backwards fucktards; sorry.

I have no fucking idea what these idiots were thinking. I checked out a lot of the legislation regarding this as well as calling multiple departments of the government to find out exactly what the deal was; they're straight up saying if you want to tour in Canada, your band is going to owe $275 x n where the n = the number of band members you have. They're apparently doing this because...and I quote after talking to one of these numpty fucktards at Immigration Canada..."well, before we were processing their applications for free and that's just not fair."

I'd love to find this person who's getting paid almost $1000 an hour to process applications.

On a side note, our prime minister looks like a vampire pedophile. Fuck.

I'm really going to miss seeing bands come thru Toronto.

As someone who keeps trying to get a band together that can actually play out, how the hell are we supposed to be tour support if the tours we like won't book here?
