    Who's your favourite lyricist?

Me and mrs me were having a talk about lyrics, and it dawned on me that I don't really pay attention to them :/

Like, I know what I DON'T like (mainly anything too metaphorical or pretentious) but can't really think of stuff I love.

    Who writes your favourite lyrics?
    Recording. Mixing. Mastering. Editing. Re-Amping.

Back like six years ago I LOVED Alex V from Atreyu, but now it's Max Bemis from Say Anything, but they're alternative.
    Or Lil' B >.> <.<

I don't really pay attention to metal lyrics, specifically if its a growled or screamed vocal, it's just too much mental capacity to keep up and guess what they're saying...

    Neil Peart or Roger Waters.
Division: American Metal without the suck.

I really don't care for lyrics, buuuut... I dig the fuck out of a rather eclectic bunch of lyrics though. Namely; Emperor, Fleetwood Mac and CKY.

An odd mix to say the least...

Good choices. Limelight and When The Tigers Broke Free are good examples from both.

A little bit off the grid, but the lyrics of Level 42 are pretty good. It's Over, Running In The Family and Lessons In Love all have decent writing without resorting to hackneyed metaphor or platitudes.

Tomas haake who writes for meshuggah. Catch 33 lyrics and obzen are my favorites.

Death grips. The lyrics are bizarre and extremely interesting. Certainly unlike anything else.

Danny brown. I cant explain why. Extremely vulgar stuff that gets stuck in my head all day.
