    GC repair shop pricing

I contacted my local Guitar Center repair shop here in S Fl to see about how much it would be to have the pickups wired and intonation set on my Charvel and was quoted $165. That struck me as rather high so I emailed them to clarify and be sure and yep that was it. Now I have built guitars and am a soldering fool...but wanted to have a pro go over her and use a good tuner that I don't have so thought I would spoil myself. ..but I'm getting that tuner and bringing a soldering station home tomorrow.

Am I crazy or is that a crazy prive to solder a few connections and do a intonation adjustment?

    Find a local tech.

Ridiculous price. I wouldn't let a GC "tech" work on and of my guitars for free. Shit pay shipping to and from to me and I'll do it for free. It would be much cheaper.

My guy works at GC and would charge me about half that. He's also very good. It's just convenient that he's at work when I get off work, and on the way home.
