Anybody else a giant fan of the Addiction album? Jesus what a vocalist. Haven't been able to stop listening to it all year

Not as much as Terria, Ocean Machine, or some of his SYL stuff, but "Supercrush!" is a fucking amazing song.

Addicted is my favorite album from the DTP set. Dat Hyperdrive! I've been on a big Devin Townsend kick for the past month or so, but I've mostly been listening to his pre-DTP solo material mottled with a few SYL albums. He's basically who I want to be when I grow up, sans the prematurely receding hairline.

I've started my journey through DTP with Addicted and I love it. Epicloud is one of my favourite albums as well - "Grace" is crazy!

I'm in the minority, but "Synchestra" is actually my favourite Devin Townsend album. That and SYL's "The New Black" work really well together as two companion albums as the end of that phase of his life. I like a lot of the stuff since then, but there's almost too much music to take in properly, and everything feels a bit "same-y" and lacks the powerful songwriting he had before. From the 4 DTP albums, I think there's enough songs I really like to make one solid album, and then a bunch of songs I'm kind of "meh" about. I haven't even listened to Epicloud because the couple of tracks I've heard just didn't grab my attention.

That said, seeing him live these days is pretty incredible, and he's clearly enjoying himself a lot more than he has in years.

Terria and Ocean Machine are my favorites as well. Epicloud is pretty awesome too.

    He's really fun live.
