So I don't know if any of you remember the German Warwick Corvette I had for sale a while back. Anyway, I sold it locally to a guy here in Nashville months a go. So I get a call from the dude yesterday.... and he's all like hey man whats up? I'm thinking to myself...what the fuck does this dude want?
Long story short he proceeds to give me a story of hard times and tells me he pawned the Bass and will not be able to recover it. I'm like ok??? He then proceeds to tell me he hates to see those fucks get over on him and tells me if I can meet him he wants to give me the pawn ticket for the bass to retrieve it. So i ask him how much he pawned it for and he says 150$!!!!
Now I feel bad. This guy just paid me 750$ for this bass only a few months a go. So I thought about it...I went and met him and got the ticket. I went to the Pawn shop and picked up the bass. I thought about it more and I just didn't feel right. So i called the dude up and gave him the 190$ it ended up costing me to get it out of Pawn.
Did I do right or should I have just given him the money to get the bass out???? I mean I think I was fair no?
I mean I guess just giving him the money to get the bass out of pawn would be crazy on my part....but I just feel bad... Like I got over on somebody? WTF?
the guy probably was going to let the shop have it anyway.
