So 2-3 weeks before our show opening for Tesseract over the weekend. The band had a awesome improv-type jam that eventually made it to the set list. Couple weeks past I managed to put a solo I thought would master and be prepared.
Should of sounded something like this.

But after seeing this video, I can't help to cringe and feel embarrassed. They say that you are your own worst critic, true, but you guys can't tell me that this sounded awful?
I can only blame myself for not being more prepared. Lesson learned.
Anyone else had a similar situation happen?
Ahh, don't worry about it. Probably nobody but you noticed. You're definitely your own worst critic (well, some people are, others are their biggest fans!), but you're also likely to attach more significance to a bad performance than everybody else.
Similar situation? Hell yeah. Just about everytime I've played live. I get supremo nervous and my hands get all tense, I fluff runs and rush ahead of the beat, then seem to think the answer is to go faster.
Fuck it. Chalk it up to one of the funny moments.
