Even if it's leftovers from The Division Bell, I'd be stoked. Don't care as long as Gilmour is playing on it. It can be Gilmour farting into a fuckin' hollowbody Gretsch and I'd still buy it and sell a kidney to see it live.
"The Endless River" is a line from "High Hopes" from The Division Bell and the album is supposedly Wright's "swansong". I know the band had a good chunk of material floating around during the Division Bell sessions, so it wouldn't be surprising if these were leftovers that have been reworked.
The Division Bell was the first Floyd album I was hardcore into. I was 11 when it came out, even though I was already on a steady Floyd diet thanks to my dad, this album just really grabbed me. He took me to see him on that tour a few months later, which changed my entire direction in life......I started playing guitar a couple months after that because of that show.
Sounds like this is basically a further development of the instrumental spin-off album that came out of the Division Bell session. Hell, I'll buy it.
