    Your first concert?

Mine was at the Houston House of Blues, opening was a band called Kingnaldo followed by Bumblefoot, Gary Hoey and then Yngwie Malmsteem. Yngwie Malmsteem's guitar is literally the loudest thing I've heard in my entire life. It was amazing, and I got a pick. I've been to one other concert before this one, but it wasn't a metal band.

    Post your first concerts.

Grand Ole Oprey when I was around nine years old. I'm not much of a country music fan, but seeing an extremely talented band just tear through songs like that was almost overwhelming at that age. Ricky Skaggs played mandolin and flat top guitar that night as well as I've ever seen them played. Thanks to my father, I still love good bluegrass to this day.
Division: American Metal without the suck.

    So live for today,
    Tomorrow never comes.
    Die young, die young,
Can't you see the writing in the air?
    Die young, gonna die young,
    Someone stopped the fair.

Alannah Myles when I was 11 or 12, I think, with a friend's family at a festival in a park here. She opened with this, and a lot of smoke machine. Pretty cool.

Second concert (first that I picked for myself) was The Tea Party:

    With Wide Mouth Mason opening:

I still remember, the bassist for Wide Mouth Mason was playing a Dingwall (didn't know what it was at the time) and the fanned frets blew my mind

Sonata Arctica. I think I was thirteen or so. They tore my face off, and I lost my goddamn mind when they played The Cage.

The first G3 tour in '96 with Satriani, Vai, and Eric Johnson in Spokane, WA. My dad scored some last minute tickets and pulled me out of school to go.

Ozzy on the Bark at the Moon tour with Motley Crue opening at the old Summit. Second show I saw was probably my favorite, Maiden on the Powerslave tour with WASP as the opening band.

The Stray Cats with the Bus Boys opening. It was like 81-82 with my Mom and my Brother. It was awesome. I knew I had to do that.
The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll look down and whisper "No.” ― Alan Moore
