My dad had a copy of this old LP and would play it around the house a lot when I was a kid. Most of the Waters set (with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band) is pretty forgettable, the Howlin' Wolf set less so (drawn from the London Sessions with Clapton on lead and the Stones rhythm section, though to be fair I seem to be one of the few people who like these sessions), but this one live Muddy Waters track is just hands down the best thing on the record.
Those opening notes, and the damn near atonal vibrato on the descending bit after that, are just fucking evil. And then when he launches into his solo... Man. There aren't many guys who can make a slide guitar scream like this.
Oh, the vocal ain't half bad either.
