    In Memory Of Randy Rhoads

Today marks the 33rd anniversary of that fateful plane ride that took Randy's life - along with Rachel Youngblood and the "pilot", Andrew Aycock. Crazy to think it was 33 years ago, seems like just yesterday.

One of my favorites, and one of my biggest inspirations.

That song and Randy are the reason I picked up the guitar.

The isolated guitar track to Diary of a Madman. I love how well composed this is and how well it stands on its own.

Yeah, I posted on Facebook today about Randy's passing. I always wonder how much he might have further changed the face of metal if he'd lived.
All I can ask is that I suck a little less each time I pick up my guitar...

I appreciate his work on those two albums more and more as the years go by, especially knowing now how they were produced on crappy low budgets and with a huge time crunch in the case of DOAM. Imagine if he'd actually had a chance to finish an album properly. That would have been an all-timer.
