Would you rather be famous, or creative?

I used to think they both went hand in hand, but it's pretty obvious that from an industry standpoint they are mutually exclusive.

There seem to be two pretty distinct types of musicians; ones that love creating music, and ones that love performing. I'm not suggesting that one is better or worse than the other, but it'd be interesting to see what types we have here. I feel it will be strongly skewed to the creativity, but you never know.

Creativity for me. No real interest in performing.

I'm mostly a performer, not much of a writer, but some of my happiest moments playing guitar have been in the garage and basement, by myself, hitting that zone and pulling all the right stops on my leads, and even my rhythms.

Even at work, I sometimes go outside my group to help-out on other projects where folks may be stifled a bit. I find more long-lasting pride in seeing a project go into full production, knowing that I had a hand in getting it there, even if not everyone knows or gives a shit

Definitely creative. I really have no desire to be famous. Independently wealthy...yes. Famous...no.

I do have a strong desire to be creative and to write songs just for the process of writing them. Not for any particular reason other than to just write them.

Creativity is what gets me out of bed in the morning. And keeps me awake at night. It is my lifeblood.

Neither. I just want a bitching leather jacket, some mirrored sunglasses, and a sweet catchphrase one liner.

    Something like, "Gimme the juice".

Creative. I have ZERO interest in performing music if it's not creative.

For those that would rather make up their own music (which I'd assume would be most here) do you prefer it in a setting with other bandmates, or are you a one man band with the computer?
