I thought it happened last week and ended up catching it 30 minutes after it started, but holy shit that was fucking outstanding.
Basically he sat in Toontrack's studio, came in with a song idea and wrote/recorded the entire thing in 2 hours. The pace he was working at and the quality of what he was recording....man, that was just part of it, he also gave a lot of GREAT advice regarding writing. He doesn't second guess anything. If there's an idea that pops up, he just goes for it and this was a total display of that.
He was using a bluetooth keyboard for the Mac he was recording on, the cameras (also bluetooth) kept interfering and cutting the signal on it, so he'd be trying to edit shit using hot keys and it'd just stop....fuckin' dude just said "Fuck it." and kept on plowing through.
If every musician I've ever played with worked like this, I'd never have quit any band I've been in!
It'll be posted up in a few days, DEFINITELY check that shit out!
