    Wirelessly posted

Awesome frontman. Bummed I never got to see STP live. Sadly I'm not too shocked to hear this, he was one of those dudes who'd been flirting with death for a long ass time

This is sad to hear. I know the man has been struggeling for a while...
He was such a great performer, loved his music in Velvet Revolver.

Prayers for his family and friends.
If anyone has any prayer requests, need to talk, or have questions about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
    Feel free to message me.

    God Bless, Venator

He heard I got an iPhone. It broke him.
Honestly, I'm shocked he made it to 48.

I saw this on Facebook. Very sad, but not surprising at all. To be honest, I'm surprised he didn't die 10-20 years ago. That said, he was a great frontman and it's just sad to see him dead.

    Bummer, man.

Love a lot of stuff he's sang on and fortunately got to see two KILLER STP shows. First one back on the Tiny Music tour with Cheap Trick opening....first show I ever went to without a parent and they were OUTSTANDING. Had a floating stage come down mid-set and did a whole acoustic set then it floated back up and they rocked out the rest of the show. Second time was on the reunion tour at the River Rave at Great Woods the day after he was WRECKED in NJ and went on crazy late. He was so fuckin' dead on at the Great Woods show and the audience was just eating it up, I got a bit emotional at that one because it was just so good. They opened with "Big Empty"....totally not an expected opener.

Just like Layne, everyone knew it was coming, which just sucks. After his last interview on Howard Stern you could really get an idea for how/why he got to the point he was at. Dude had $60K a month in expenses, mostly to alimony and child support.....I wouldn't want to be sober either.
