Metal guitar forum, would have been weird to let the anniversary of his death go by without acknowledging it. Say what you will, Cowboys From Hell is still killer from start to finish.

Never was huge into Pantera, but that album kicks ass and he was a hell of a player.

Jesus, 11 years?! I was a freshman in college when this happened. We got shitfaced on whiskey and subjected the whole hall to more Pantera than they cared for. So not really that out of the ordinary of a weekend (just replace Pantera with "metal"), but still.

11 years ago tomorrow morning at 7 am my buddy called me and told me what happened and I refused to believe it was true. I hoped it was bullshit, unfortunately it wasn't.... RIP Dime.

Cowboys from Hell and Vulgar are some of my favorite albums of all time. When I heard it, I also could not believe it was true. RIP.

^I'm all about Great Southern Trendkill when it comes to non CFH albums, that's a nasty grinding disc. Fucking love it. There are some intense performances on there.
