    Most Disappointing Collaboration Ever? (Anthrax/Carpenter/Buckethead)

    On the topic of Buckethead...

    John Carpenter, Anthrax, and Buckethead

It could have been fucking great.

Steve Vai was on the soundtrack too, sadly not one of Carpenter's better soundtracks... or movies.

Yeah, I remember rushing out to buy this when it came out. Listened to it once.

I've seen every John Carpenter movie, and that one was probably my least favorite...

Not surprised it's pretty disappointing. 1995 - 2003 was a low point for Anthrax, IMO.

Also, Robin Finck's solo in the middle of the song sounds so, so bad.

EDIT: Or is the Paul Crook? Whoever it is, it's not that good.

Same deal here. It was a really shitty era for all of them (Vai: Ultra Zone, Finck and Buckethead: Chinese Democracy, Anthrax: The Threat is Real).

As far as the movie, that was during a kick where Carpenter was doing "over the top" action movies, none of which were any good and aged even worse (Escape from LA, JC's Vampire, etc.)

I think the most disappointing collaboration ever is Metallica + Lou Reed ...
But this is not good either
