To start us off, I've always long espoused that Behemoth's "Demigod" is a far stronger record if you leave out "The Reign of Shemsu-Hor." It becomes a 34 minute collection of brutal 4 minute songs instead of a 42 minute collection of brutal 4 minute songs and a meandering 8 minute song, and it ends on the exceedingly brutal "Slaves! Shall! Fucking serve!" *rug chug chug* *cymbal bleed* note. I had one drawn up for Paramore's "Riot!", but 15 bucks is an awful lot to pay for a blank CD.
Surely you've all meddled in the affairs of your idols. Come forth and share these meddlings!
Sure. Satriani's "Engines of Creation" should start with Devil's Slide (simply because it's great live), cut Flavor Crystal 7 and Borg Sex, include Until We Say Goodbye, cut Attack, pick back up with Champagne? and continue uninterrupted for the duration of the album, cutting only The Power Cosmic 2000 Pt 2.
Blues Traveler's 4 should cut the first track, "Runaround," and then continue onwards uninterrupted.
Spacehog's "Resident Alien" should have ONLY the first track, "In The Meantime," and be repackaged as a single.
