There is a ton of awesome new bands out there playing old school Metal...

...o.k., some may not be that new, but I just found the time to get into some bands that are from this millennium and don't play "the sound of weighing souls"-black metal.

After being not too satisfied with the newer Visigoth stuff (After their GLORIOUS ep, I had my hopes up too high I guess), I wanted to get the last Enforcer record for some time, finally got it, am totally enjoying it and wanted more....Hell, I just spent 120,- on Heavy- and Speed Metal records.

    My current playlist:

    STEREO NASTY

    SPEEDTRAP

    WHITE WIZZARD

    AMBUSH

    SKULL FIST

Ohhh White Wizzard and Skull fist are wicked. I can't post a link atm but if you read this before I get home, check out Seprevation. UK Death Metal band that sounds and looks like it's from the 80s/90s. Imagine mixing Death with Altars era Morbid Angel, Iron Maiden and Megadeth. Just awesome. Their full length 'Consumed' is their stronger release imo.

Love Skullfist. The first track on that album is also on the Deathgasm soundtrack.

I've pimped them a bunch 'round these parts but if you're not listening to Crypt Sermon, ya done goofed.

Another one worth remembering here is Wolf.

Too much focus leads to tunnel vision
Too much faith leads to religion
Too much knowledge leads to confusion
Too many guitar lessons lead to jazz-fusion
