    RIP Randy Rhoads

35 years ago today the reason I picked up a guitar in the first place was killed in a plane crash. "Over The Mountain" blew my young mind. He was taken far too soon. I can only imagine what he would have done if he had lived.

The only proof he needed for the existance of God was music.

I still remember hearing Crazy Train on the radio for the first time as a kid, still remember my mom showing me the newspaper article on Randy's death like it was yesterday. RIP, Randy.

It's amazing how much he was able to accomplish in such a short time, with no budgets and having to prop up a washed-up and basically low-talent singer. One of those big what-ifs is to wonder what he could have accomplished working with a talented singer/songwriter and in a project where he could be properly recorded. He and Dio would have ruled the fucking universe working together.
