Yeah, I'd use this as long as there's still a PA. Basically, making up the frequencies I'm losing from having earplugs in. Wouldn't work in a mosh pit, obviously.

When I go to a concert, it's more than what's in my ears. I can feel the vibration, the energy from the crowd, and hear/feel the pyro.

This seems a bit like donning a Walkman and pair of rollerblades, rolling off into a corner somewhere and jerking off.

This has to be a joke. It would never catch on in metal. Literally no one would want it. You want the energy of the concert experience, the audience having in ears is stupid. I would just listen to the record then, save my money.

Not to mention that metal concerts are intrinsically violent and I just can't see a bunch of people forming a gnarly circle pit with headphones.

You guys are a bunch of old farts. shitty sound at shows is a real problem. It obviously wouldn't work in a pit, but otherwise I think it's a cool idea.

I like the idea, saves your fucking ears probably too. I'm not going to be in a mosh pit anytime soon so fuck that....
The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll look down and whisper "No.Ē ― Alan Moore

Better idea: Stop employing lousy sound engineers and playing venues with crap PA systems...

20 years after my touring days ended, you'd think that wouldn't be pie in the sky. But...

Oh, obviously it won't catch on, it's completely impractical. I just think it's a neat enough idea that I'd give it a shot since these days I'm the guy standing back with earplugs in anyways
