Soilwork hasn't released a bad album. Ever. (Though Steelbath Suicide is kind of meh, I guess)

Their latest album is pretty damn kickass too 'n' catchy as fuck. Not a bad song on it.

See I would have pegged Figure Number Five as their one mediocre album.

I have every single album Soilwork's put out, but Figure Number Five is my second favorite after Stabbing the Drama. I don't get why some people don't like that album. It has some of their best songs on it and arguably some of their best riffs and vocal melodies. Personal taste, I guess. I think Natural Born Chaos is their most overrated album. It's a good album, don't get me wrong, but it's WAY too overrated. Songs like Black Star Deceiver and Mercury Shadow kind of suck.

    One of In Flames' best.

I stopped doing that after Clayman

Now do the opposite of what you just said there, and thats how I feel. Practically everything after clayman is just drivel IMO.

Edit: Well, actually I like the Panic Broadcast album too, but it sounds like older In Flames to me.

I think that album and Stabbing the Drama are the ones that got me into them - i really can't get on with the stuff from Chainheart Machine.

The last few albums have just been stellar though.

I keep hoping In Flames will put something awesome out and I'm pretty sure its just not gonna happen.

I think you're mixing up bands.

Yeah, I think Steelbath Suicide is their weakest album, then Chainheart Machine is their second weakest. A Predator's Portrait is a really good album, but it's very clear that Strid doesn't know how to write that good of melodies yet. A lot of the chorus melodies on A Predator's Portrait are "almost there." Like he's just starting to learn.
