Almost every In Flames and Soilwork album is in rotation for me. Great bands.

I enjoyed them up until Come Clarity but despite the change in style. After that I couldn't hack them anymore. Soilwork I enjoy but don't see why anyone would think Figure No5 and Natural Born Chaos are anything better than decent. Stabbing the drama I thought was a change in style which came suspiciously around the time bands like Mnemic were popular....They got their act together with albums after that though.

    50/50

I love the stuff up/including to Clayman, but half the time I am not in the mood for Melodeath. Melodeath is its own special kind of grating at the top end.

But yeah, Jotun is a personal favorite.

As far as Soilwork goes I listened to The Living Infinite an embarrassing amount, and whatever the new one is (The Ride Majestic). I actually over listened to TLI, I can't listen to it again, there was a 6 month span where I listened to it at least 3 times a week. I don't need to hear anything off that ever again.

I have to be in the mood for it though, sonically all the old melodeath albums have a sound that gets grating after a while. I'll still blast that shit in the car and stuff, and I do like the songs, but halfway through a melodeath album I usually have a headache. On headphones those albums get pretty painful. Stuff like Kreator's Coma of Souls aged better in terms of mix IMO.

Melodic metal dude! NBC, FN5 and StD are three of my favorite albums.

I still can't listen to this, it just is grating to my ears. I really wish they'd remix it or something since everyone always say it's great but I have to turn it off after like 10 seconds oh well.
