So I got my juststrings.com order in, and they got everything right and the strings are fine. Here's the set I ordered for C# tuning on a 25.5" scale six:
I really like the relatively equal tension, and the C# is nice and tight for fast picking. The .56 seems a little too thick, because I don't feel like I'm getting enough "bite" from the string. The next smallest D'Addario is a 54, but I can't get an evenly balanced set with that, so it looks like a 52 would be the next best option.
Does anyone have any experience (or any thoughts on) using the following gauges for C#:
Tension wise that should balance just fine. How it feels is personal preference. Personally I'd use something thicker but that's just me.
