Looked at where she is located, I think shipping would end up being alot more.

There's a killer Mark IV (same amps LoG used) on Harmony Central - but beware traveler! HC is the furthest underbelly forum on the internet and is filled with total newbs and trollfags so be on guard.

Says he's looking for $1450 shipped which given the usual weight of combos, means that its probably around the $1350-$1375 mark for just the amp

A little history on the Mark III amps, by the way Shayla I would stay with the Mark III's, will get you what you want with out the extra crappy crunch channel or the extra cash you will spend on a Mark IV.

Could be, but then again he does state that $1450 is the shipped price so he may just agree to that and take a little bit more of a hit on the amp. Or could add like another $50 to just make it $1500 flat and call it a day.

Spoiler

And what if I wanted the crappy crunch channel? Hehehe are there really too many other differences between the mark III and the ones after it?

The Mark III and the Mark IV are totally different beasts in my opinion. The III is modeled after the IIC+ which was used a lot in the 80's, so therefore the III's also have more of a thrash base since it's modeled after a kind of thrash amp. Although it's more than just that. The III's can be tweaked a good amount, the IV's can be tweaked even further although they tend to have more of a prog metal sound, and I've yet to hear a good demo of the Mark V to say what it can do really well.
