Smile My Triaxis is back from Boogie

I just got the call from my local Mesa tech. It took six weeks, but it's back, finally! I'll be picking it up after work tonight. It's been so long since I last used it that I've almost forgotten what it sounded like.

FUCK THE YANKEES

Sweet!

BTW, how'd the whole situation turn out about it costing so much?

Thanks!
I actually didn't make much progress with that argument with Mesa. They basically said this tends to happen with older gear and it is was it is. I paid $700 (used) for it back in 95, so I got a pretty good deal on it back then. With the money I'm paying to get it fixed now and for what I originally paid it would be about what they go for now used, so I didn't fight too much with Mesa.

That's cool.

Did they offer a warranty on their services?

That's a good question and one I should have asked about at the time. I'll find out today when I pick it up. Let's hope so!

Great to hear man. Are you able to make it up our way for Porcupine Tree in September? Love to hear your rig, and your vibrato, in person.

I really should come up for that show and it would be nice to finally meet the New England crew!

I miss my triaxis/2:90. I played one at a festival in Chicago last summer, and it was like going home after a long, long trip.

That's what I'm thinking it will be like when I fire it up for the time in years. It's been sitting in a rack for years just collecting dust while I procrastinated about getting it fixed. In the meantime I've gone through a good share of amps and it's been a fun experience to try out different stuff. I've had or still have a XXX, 6505+, Nomad 55, single rectifier, MP-1, MP-2 and a POD XT, but I'm really looking forward to getting back to the Triaxis.
