i need a backup rig that i can just go DI to the PA with that isnt a complex modeler just something i can throw in really quick to get a nice gritty sound so that i can use all my pedals with.
I was looking at some of the Tech 21 SansAmp pedals that i could just put inplace of my amps preamp section and then DI the output.
Like these two:
Buy Tech 21 SansAmp GT2 Tube Amp Emulator | Overdrive, Distortion, Fuzz & Boost | Musician's Friend
Buy Tech 21 California SansAmp Character Series CS-CA Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal | Overdrive, Distortion, Fuzz & Boost | Musician's Friend
My signal chain currently is this:
Guitar > Wah > Compressor > Fuzz > Blues driver > Nomad preamp > Flange > Chorus > Tremelo > Volume Pedal > Delay >Nomad Power amp
And then i want to have it be this:
Guitar > Wah > Compressor > Fuzz > Blues driver > SansAmp pedal > Flange > Chorus > Tremelo > Volume Pedal > Delay > DI to PA.
this would just be the backup in case my amp fails, have any of you used these pedals like this or know if it would work like this.
I know this is an old post, but I was just looking at something similar. The Tech 21 California pedal sounds killer:

The only thing I might add to your signal chain is reverb, depending on the location where you're playing.
