After a couple of months of not being able to play guitar, I decided to snag one of the new Line 6 Spider IV 150 2x12 combos. I demoed one at my local Best Buy for a few hours, and I ended up going home with it. I know they are not popular around here, but I've been real happy with it so far. If I ever join a band and start gigging, I'll end up getting a tube amp. But for now, this amp covers my needs for jamming out at home and with some friends. I even recorded a couple of clips of it in action. Here are the clips:
The direct output is not too bad for recording, and it reminds me of the PODXT/PODX3 series modelers. I'm just happy to be able to play guitar again. I'll post some pics tomorrow, and in the meantime, check out the Line 6 Spider IV page here. I'll be buying a FBV Shortboard MkII as soon as the funds permit.
Sounds great man, as long as you are playing guitar thats what counts!
