    The Ampeg VL1002

Anybody have any experience with these amps? I found some for a decent price locally and before I go check them out I was wondering if any of you guys had any thoughts on them.

I do know of one issue with the heater harness but apparently it's an easy and cheap fix. And the fix also comes with a tone mod that's pretty easy to do.

Here's a couple clips of a modded one. - the guitar gear mp3 database

Anyway, I'm REALLY interested in this amp. It's old school and designed by Lee Jackson. Ideally I want an old Lee Jackson XLS1000 but I think these are close enough.

Well, the VL1002 are killer amps. My old guitarist back in the early 90s had the 1/2 stack. Just go check them out. If you can live w/ 2 channels, I think you'll dig it.
