My current bass rig is a simple vintage svt into a modern ampeg 8x10. it has a small amount of hum, possibly attributed to a ground loop. i run a tube screamer and a delay pedal through a pedal power type deal. i've gotten an eden wt400 from mike and i'd like to run the svt through the bottom 4 speakers and the eden through the top. S what i've done is run an a/b/y switcher with the delay pedal before the switcher so it will delay to both and the tube screamer through only the svt.
the issue i'm running into is that with the a/b/y in the loop i'm getting a shit ton of hum to the point where it's distracting and annoying. can anyone give me some pointers on how to figure out a solution for this? i'm going to go pick up some 9 volts for the pedals to see if that helps, i suppose to could always just unplug the pedals and see if that helps but i need them in the chain.
Which A/B/Y are you running? My guitarist had huge problems with one of the Radial switchers until he spent time fiddling with ground lifts and gain levels.
