Simply put, my V2 feeds back like a motherfucker as soon as the volume gets over 3-4 ish, which is rehearsal space volume. Tried a Boss NS-2 with it last night, in front and in the loop, loads of different settings, but the reduction mode basically did nothing, or very little at best. Has anyone had problems like this before, and what can I do about it?
a) is the NS-2 a bit shit, and I need to try a different gate/suppressor?
b) is there some magical location and setting the makes the NS-2 fantastic at cutting feedback? (although I'd be surprised if I missed it!)
c) are the stock pickups in the PRS SE's just feedback magnets? I'm probably going to swap them out at some point anyway, but should this feedback issue affect my choice? I watched a recent interview with Chris Broderick where he said he'd gone with De-Activators to cut feedback, should I be looking at these too? (I don't really like actives, so I'd like to avoid EMGs/Blackouts/Livewires)
DECIMATOR. i thought nothing could quiet my Engl on 7. wrong.
