So, I got a custom case made for my KxK by Scott Dixon Cases in the good ol' UK.
The case is made from aircraft grade aluminum, and is ATA certified. I worked with John Dixon to get this made, who was great to work with. I took all the measurements, and traced the guitar on a big ass roll of paper and packed it in a tube and shipped it to the UK. John was great to work with and called a couple times to check to see if it had gotten here yet and to ask how it fit, etc. Most people take the money and run Anyways, I didn't do a big ass epic picstory like normal, just because I'm super busy and didn't want to go through the process of coming up with a big perverted picstory etc for this I took a shit ton of pics outside with the flash on and off, so you're just getting a bunch of pics. Enjoy:
This case fits my guitar perfectly, and if I could afford it, I would get these for ALL my guitars.
John is also moving his operation over to the US (Florida I believe) so perhaps that will make these a bit more affordable. I figured it was only going to be a little bit more than getting a wooden case made in the US (which would be way heavier) so I sprung for this, and I also wanted a tank of a case for my custom.
That looks really nice, how much did it set you back? I really need to find a case for my ProtoVii-7.
