Since I'm currently between rigs, I decided to switch my lone piece of gear from line to instrument mode tonight and give it a crack by itself.
I made sure both sides had a load (speaker cab) and plugged my guitar into input A. Only one side of the amp had sound, but that's how it's designed and what I expected.
I was actually pleasantly surprised at how good it sounded. Yes it was really flat EQ wise, but man was it toneful. I had to turn the presence all the way up to level out some of the low end a bit, but this thing reminded me of playing a THD tube amp. Really warm and clear with rich overtones.
I'd never base a rig around this tone, but hey it's actually really nice in a jazzy kind of way
I'm going to have to get this sound on a recording sometime.
It sounds like fun!
